Anne Bradstreet By D.B. Kellogg

Anne Bradstreet By D.B. Kellogg, the Christian Encounters Series.

Anne had a hard life which was filled with struggles. She was constantly fighting with sickness and herself. She let herself be guided by her imagination and her faith by turning to poetry in order to save herself in her lowest of lows. Her poetry showed the love she had for God, her husband, and all of her children. She was devoted to being a good Christian, a good mother and a good wife.

Anne Bradstreet’s works were private until after she passed away. As she thought that sharing them, her thoughts and opinions, would have been considered sin, although she believed in knowledge and intellectuality. She is recognized as an important figures in the history of American literature.
